M & J | A Magical Fall Elopement at Mount Rainier
Embracing the Unexpected Weather at Mount Rainier
M & J’s fall elopement at Mount Rainier was one of those days I’ll never forget. As we drove up to Paradise, the spot they had chosen for their ceremony, I could feel the excitement building. But when we got closer, I realized the mountain was completely socked in with thick fog. The clear views we’d hoped for were nowhere to be seen.
Instead, we were met with this quiet, mystical atmosphere. What surprised me even more was the fresh snow already covering the ground at Paradise and how quickly we all pivoted to embrace the mountains elements. It transformed everything into a peaceful winter wonderland. Then, the weather lifted like magic. Leaving us some of the only people at Paradise to have an secret moment.

Capturing Love Amidst Nature’s Beauty
Photographing them in that weather was a dream. The snow softened the colors and light, making every shot feel gentle and timeless. But more than that, I loved how they leaned into the unexpected, laughing through the chill and holding each other close. Their joy and connection warmed the whole scene.

Why a Mount Rainier Elopement is Always Unique
By the time we headed back down, I was so grateful for the day’s surprises. Mount Rainier has a way of reminding you that sometimes the best moments come when you let go of plans and simply embrace what the mountain gives you.
If you’re dreaming of an elopement at Mount Rainier, I promise you — whatever the weather brings, it will only add to the magic.
